Frequently asked questions
.
Yes, but poppers has a strong negative affect with some guys and turns them off. Out of respect, always ask guys around if they are ok with you using poppers. Some events that do have multiple rooms and space might have dedicated popperbate areas for you to enjoy - this info will be shared with every event release.
Drinking: Yes, but drink responsibly. There is a "no getting drunk" rule. Some venues will also have alcohol for sale.
We do not tolerate intoxication and organizers will ask you to leave in the event. Do not arrive drunk.
Drugs: No party drugs or weed will be allowed. Do not arrive high. You will be asked to leave.
You are not required to touch or be touched by anyone. You get to decide who, if anybody, is your playmate.
With that said, we encourage participants to use Jacks events as an opportunity to confront prejudices about age, race and body type. There are phenomenally hot and erotic men of all ages, race and build. But, if, at the end of the day, you’re not turned on by the friendly, erotic and fraternal energy of a multi-generational and race group, then our events are probably not for you.
CTJacks welcomes anyone who identifies as a man, regardless of physicality. The great majority of members are cis-gender male and we have welcome trans men to partake.
It is important to underscore that every member of CTJacks, including any man with a vagina, is required to honor the Code of Conduct, including rules governing consent, mutual respect and non-penetration.
We do absolutely maintain our identification as a club for men. What we don’t do is define what constitutes a man. We do not permit any female-identified individuals to enroll or participate.
We welcome educational moments and conversations about gender identity but we do ask that you leave your political and religious views by the door and just be present in the moment.
There are two things safer than group JO: solitary JO and no sex at all. In the 41 years since HIV’s initial diagnosis, mutual masturbation has been responsible for zero cases of HIV infection (that has been reported). However, there are some risk with regards to other STD's so we do encourage members to avoid getting semen on or near any bodily openings.
More broadly, as a sex-positive organization, we encourage all members make informed, thoughtful decisions about their own health and harm reduction strategies, in particular with respect to their sexual activities outside of the Jacks environment.
There are resources available such as IvanToms - Health For Men,(https://www.health4men.co.za/) a free men's sexual health clinic. We recommend chatting to them if you seek more information about STD's.
Our commitment to inclusion and diversity is one of our priorities. Aside from the requirement that you be an adult man (18+), we do not discriminate against anyone for any subjective trait. We do not screen prospective members on the basis of age, race, ethnicity, body type, fitness level or sexual orientation or HIV status.
Some events are hosted at establishments that have venue charge which is not associated with CTJacks - meaning, none of the cover charge will go to CTJ. CTJ do not set the price and also have no control over the rate.
There is however a community fee of R50 pp. which needs to be paid to secure your name on the guest list. This is needed to be paid upfront before attending the event. This covers admin costs, supplied lube station, clean hand towels for all and any other costs required to host a event. This is a passion project but to make sure only serious men attend, a fee is required.
Payment methods will ne shared before events.
